Gardenia — Iron chlorosis prevention (Fe-Mg-Mn)
Zone: Gardenia 'Radicans' (potted, majolica ceramic) · Stage: vegetative-pre-bud
Pre-empt iron chlorosis (the #1 gardenia issue, esp. in alkaline-soil reuse). Drives Fe + Mg + Mn through the leaf so the plant gets the micros it can't pull from alkaline soil.
Products (7)
| # | Product | mL/L | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Base-Line | 2.0 | fulvic gel — first in tank, chelates micros |
| 2 | Topraq-Fe | 1.5 | Iron — primary deficiency target for gardenia in alkaline soil |
| 3 | Topraq-Mg | 2.0 | Magnesium — chlorophyll backbone; alkaline soil locks Mg |
| 4 | Topraq-Mn | 1.0 | Manganese — co-deficiency with Fe in alkaline conditions |
| 5 | Fast-Line | 1.5 | Carboxylic acid — uptake enhancer + acidifies tank |
| 6 | Alga-Line | 2.0 | Chlorella biostimulant |
| 7 | Bacto-Line | 1.5 | Bacillus — last in tank |
Intentionally excluded
topraq-b — Gardenia is B-sensitive; only use in pre-bloom recipe at very low dose.topraq-ca — Sulfates in tank (Mg/Fe/Mn) — Ca would precipitate. Also, gardenia in already-alkaline soil doesn't need more Ca.topraq-cu — Kills Bacto-Line; not in chlorosis prescription.Apply 2-3 weeks post-transplant, then every 3 weeks during May-July if any yellowing. Total ~11.5 mL/L. Repeat as needed during growing season.
